From Document Freedom Day

The Fellowship of FSFE group of the Rheinland area had invited to an event ("party") at Document Freedom Day. It was visited by fellows from Bonn, Cologne and Düsseldorf and some other guests.

After an introducing talk of Michael Kesper, fellow and member of Openoffice.org community Uwe Altmann reported on the free document standard ODF. He could also resolve some questions from the audience about things unclear about ODF and Openoffice.org.

In the following smalltalk, many questions about Free Software and free standards were discussed.

All in all it was a successful evening, although the proportion of women attending was a little bit low for a "party" (well, Mechthilde is already accustomed being the only woman amongst nerds ;-) ).
